The Senior Year Game deals with the tough issues youth face in a non-traditional format.
Making it through school is not easy. There are many issues to deal with, such as drugs, gangs, peer pressure just to name a few. The Senior Year Board Game is about choices, consequences and learning.
The game revolves around drug/alcohol/tobacco prevention with academic components and a "Do the right thing, stay in school" message. The game's format is based upon the real challenges that all youth face when confronting urban/rural pressures, educational challenges and life choices.
Game Play: Players take the journey from freshman to senior year and the first player to 'graduation' wins. Decisions, consequences, and luck all determine a player's journey to graduation.
A counselor, teacher or qualified adult should facilitate this game. A study of thousands of children and professional educators throughout the U.S. and Canada indicate the game is an innovative tool and helps open the lines of communication where various issues arise.
