Our safe, non-toxic black sandtray sand is 100% natural and contains NO free silica & NO free quartz! It is non-toxic, AP approved by The Arts and Crafts Material Institute (ACMI), conforms to ASTM - D4236 standards, and is certified EN71-3 for safe use in Europe.
This spectacular, dark, earthy-colored sand provides a dramatic backdrop for sandplay and is certain to attract children who are ordinarily reluctant to play in the sand.
* Fill sandtrays no higher than half-way (most therapists prefer the trays 1/3 full). This enables the sand to be easily moved around (allowing the bottom of your blue "water" tray to be displayed as desired). It also allows for easier figure-play and prevents messy spillage.
