Our Mythical Beast set includes: a Chimera; a Phoenix; and a Griffin.
A Chimera is portrayed as an evil dragon-like monster made from body parts of 3 or 4 different creatures. Our highly detailed Chimera figure contains the heads from 4 creatures - a lion, a dragon, a goat and a snake (at the tip of the tail).
A Phoenix - a popular 'Symbol of Renewal'. The Phoenix is a brightly colored mythical bird figure, which lived in the desert for 500 years and then consumed itself by fire - later to rise renewed from its ashes.
A Griffin is a popular and powerful symbol in Greek Mythology. The Griffin has the head and wings of an Eagle and the body of a Lion. Since the Lion was considered to be the King of Beasts and the Eagle the King of Birds, the Griffin was thought to be an ESPECIALLY powerful creature!
