Our kit comes complete with a CD full of "mood" music and 100 printable "shape sheets". There are 24 songs relating to eight different emotions (Happy, Sad, Angry, Frightened, Anxiety, Calm, Surprise, and Love). Each of the eight emotions is represented by a short, simple song; a longer, more interesting version; and a long version with added sound effects!
As a group or class, listen to the songs and discuss your emotional responses to them. Draw your response to the music on one of the shape sheets. Lay paper over the specially designed rubbing plates to give your artwork texture and drama! Choose crayon colors that best resemble the color of the emotion you are feeling.
Our kit also encourages older children to discuss how musicians, composers and artists convey emotions using a variety of techniques including chords, tempos, rhythms, colors, shapes and lines.
