Large Group Guidance Activities (2nd Edition)

A K-12 Sourcebook

Large Group Guidance Activities allows counselors to interact with many students and to impact their development in a preventative, as opposed to a reactive manner.

Presenting large group guidance units on developmental issues are effective ways to deliver services directly to students and to model successful group techniques and behavior interventions for teachers.

The included activities can provide the basis for an entire year's curriculum for classroom guidance, or they can be selected to meet a specific guidance need.

Activities are divided into six sections:
  • Academic Survival Skills
  • Interpersonal Communication and Cooperation
  • Cross-Cultural Awareness and Communication
  • Decision Making
  • Personal Assessment and Awareness
  • Responsible Behavior

Each activity is labeled according to the appropriate grade levels, K-12, and includes REPRODUCIBLE masters when necessary.
