Creating Solutions Therapeutic Game
Creating Solutions is a FUN game which can be used with a multitude of issues - rather than one specific problem.
The game was developed through use during individual and small group counseling sessions utilizing the Solution Focused Approach. It is believed to be the ONLY therapeutic game using this approach - an approach which has many applications throughout the mental health field and is a must for those who work with children.
The game format encourages children to share important information related to family, friends, school and self that they may not otherwise share.
Game Play:Working as a team, players respond to questions that help determine what they want different in their lives. Players are encouraged to discuss important issues as they eagerly answer questions and earn items to place on the "Solutions Slide". As the game progresses, excitement builds as players earn enough items to tip the "Solutions Slide" enabling marbles to roll down and destroy a barrier on the game board.
Add a deck of Character Education Cards to expand the game even further.
