A Day In The Life Game
In this game, players learn social & communication skills as they have a great time helping Alison (a middle school student) handle problems with friends, family members, and teachers.
Players help Alison deal with difficult situations (such as a friend being mad at her for not inviting her to a party), and help her be assertive without being aggressive, disagree without lowering the self-esteem of others, use facts to be persuasive, show empathy, etc. Tone of voice and body language is also used to enhance the effectiveness of what Alison says.
Players win money when they give Alison sound advice, and they win extra money when they select the appropriate tone of voice and/or body language.
Included with the game is a 17" x 22" color poster listing the communication skills, and an instruction booklet with complete lesson plans.
Ages: 10-14 (Grades 5-8)
2-5 Players (More With Team Play)
